Welcome

I mean that in so many different ways.

First, welcome to anyone who might be new around here. My last post caused quite a stir, rightfully so, and I know many of you found your way here for that one. If you’re here again, welcome. While I usually keep this blog as my happy space, reminding myself often of what I love about the life we are living, I do tackle some bigger issues from time to time. I hope you like it here.

Second, welcome snow. First snow.

Soft Blanket

First snow of the year.

Making Tracks

First snow for the babe.

What is this stuff?!

And, what really feels like, the first snow for me.

Underside

After two years in a much milder climate, I am grateful for the snow. For the quiet it brings. For the way it makes me look at the world differently. For the way it reminds me that Christmas is just.around.the.corner. I can’t wait!

Welcome.

I love your blog! I found you because of your last post – you and I feel similar about the whole nursing in public issue. Awesome-sauce. I wrote a little ditty myself thanks to your post!

We’re expecting our first big snowfall tomorrow. We’ll get about a foot, they expect. I’m kind of excited about it, actually. But don’t tell my husband… He’s kind of a grump about the whole ‘snowing’ thing. And he calls himself a Canadian. Hmph!
