This Moment

Inspired by Amanda over atย Soulemama, Iโ€™ve chosen to spend Fridays taking the chance to record a single moment from the everyday around here. One moment that I just donโ€™t want to forget.

He is so tuned in to all the sights and sounds of his world. Often times, I think he has no filter at all. The sounds that are most often ignored by adults, he hears. He notices. He stops and pays attention. That’s why we’re looking up, noticing yet another airplane as it passes overhead. He could do this all day.

Oh, just a reminder. You still have a few more days to enter into my very FIRSTย giveaway. Hurry up, now. You don’t want to miss it!

I laughed when I saw your blog name because I was born in Japan! Your story sounded so much like my mama’s – small space, no car…making the best of a new and exciting situation. It’s nice to meet you!

My little one is the same way! She notices things that aren’t even on my radar. Sometimes she’ll make her elephant noise and I’ll think she’s just thinking about one or mistaking something for an elephant – but then I search around and look closer and, sure enough, there’s a tiny little elephant hiding somewhere in our field of vision. They are so amazing.

I love it! That’s our day to a “T.” The wonders of five open senses of little people. Sometimes I think it must be a little overwhelming. In a rich way though.
Thanks for finding me. I just started checking out your blog and am already excited.
    P.S. Love the interactive header!

Oh my! This photo reminds me of a moment I’ll never forget – my father, son, and I were taking a walk when my son was just about 1 1/2 – we all looked up to watch the plane just like in your photo here. But then my son exclaimed “Oh sh**! A plane!” My father & I just looked at each other and started cracking up! None of us have potty mouths at all, which made it even funnier! We couldnt figure out where he picked it up and all I could say was “at least he’s using it in the right context!”

Thanks for this trip down for memory lane! ๐Ÿ™‚ BTW, I know this visit is long overdue but I wanted to say thank you for stopping by Sofia’s Ideas and leaving such a lovely comment. I hope to see you back there soon! ๐Ÿ™‚
