My journey as a mama began in Japan. My son was born there, but in many ways I feel as though I was too. Living abroad gave me a chance to examine my life, experience new things, and make choices about what I really want my days to look like and how I want my life to be.

Life in Japan was simple. It had to be. We lived in 400 square feet and didn’t have a car. We moved at a slower pace and came to like it. Now, back stateside, I am a stay-at-home mama trying my best to live that same simple, yet fulfilling, life. The life that was born.in.japan. Right now, I fill my days with dreaming, making, writing, baking, laughing, learning, and exploring. When I manage to steal a few moments, I make items to sell over in my etsy shop.

I’m glad you’re here with me, in my cozy little home on the web. I very much hope you’ll stay.
